"This ultimate small first aid kit consists of everything that you need to clean and dress minor wounds in a convenient mini pouch."

-- Manufacturer's Description --

I’ll admit, I’ve never had an official First Aid Kit (only a cobbled together one) and trying this EnergeticSky Emergency First Aid Kit made me realise I needed to get one. As I get older I start to think about what would happen in emergencies to me and those around me and I can’t believe I put off having a kit in the car for this long. Whether you choose to buy this one or not (and I do think it’s a good one), I would ask everyone reading to consider if they have what they’ll need in an emergency.

EnergeticSky First Aid Kit laid out with all its contents
The EnergeticSky First Aid Kit comes with all the basic supplies you need in an emergency

This Energetic Sky kit prioritises English and (I believe) German, but the manual has a huge range of world languages. One of my only disappointments was to find that the info for the metal ‘multi-tool’ included was only in Chinese. That means when I’m on the road I would need to look up the listing to figure it out.

I do like that they have that addition, as well as an emergency blanket, compass and a few other bits and pieces that will help out hikers, campers or people who might get lost in the wilderness.

There’s a surprising amount of stuff with this First Aid kit, that makes it perfect for the car. There’s a range of tools for CPR and emergency first aid, as well as all the gauze, plasters/band-aids and antiseptic you will need.

It does only come with one pair of gloves, so make sure to replace them if you use it. Nervous Nellies can add extra.

I love that the manual has basic first aid instructions. If you have no cell service and don’t know what to do many emergency situations are covered there.

The quality of this kit is fantastic! Other than the one unexplained emergency tool, everything is explained clearly in well-written English (and a range of other languages). The EnergeticSky Kit has sterile items sealed and marked clearly with an expiry date. While there is an expiry date on the sterile gauze, as long as they remain sealed they are considered sterile. Everything seems good quality and I’d feel one hundred percent comfortable using it.

The box itself is semi-hard with a soft water-repellent cover and a quality rubber handle. There are loops on the back for a belt or backpack straps.

While the box fits everything, it is relatively compact. If you move stuff around it can be tough to zip and there isn’t much room for additions. I wish the zipper was a touch smoother as it can feel a little stiff at times and if you’re weak from an accident, you want to be sure you can open it.

EnergeticSky First Aid Kit with medical supplies inside
Everything fits well, but there isn't much room for additional medical supplies

They say you can’t put a value on peace of mind, but if that value is $25.97 (at time of review) I’d gladly pay it. I feel like that’s a fantastically reasonable price for a kit full of stuff that works brilliantly in a car, boat or any kind of transport vehicle. I feel much more at ease having this around and even though I hope I’ll never need to use it beyond testing, I’m prepared if I need to.

The EnergeticSky First Aid kit is a compact, portable kit that is ideal for a vehicle. While you might want something more heavy-duty for home, it has everything you need in an emergency crash or if you lose your way. Pack this next to a small bag with some matches, food and other essential items and you’ll always know you’re prepared and able to protect your loved ones.

Pros:

+ Everything you need for most emergencies.

+ Range of items to help if you are lost in the wilderness.

+ Good amount of gauze and band-aids.

+ Hard case that is light and portable.

+ Great value.

+ Must have item for the car.

Cons:

- Zipper is a bit stiff.

- Multi-tool is not explained in the package and only comes with Chinese instructions.

Recommended: Yes. I can’t believe I went without one for so long. It’s really an essential that everyone should own. This First Aid Kit is good value and I can definitely recommend it.

" Say goodbye to cumbersome password combinations. You can unlock smart padlock with your finger only for a split second"

-- Manufacturer's Description --

This Fingerprint Padlock suffered from lack of proper English on its packaging, so I was already feeling concerned when I opened it up. Despite it’s designation as a ‘Fingerpring lock’ I actually thought it was pretty decent. While I’m sure security experts can find a million ways to pop this open, from what I’ve heard about most cheap locks, they are not really security against anyone who really wants to break them. Mostly they are used as a deterrent. There were definitely some unexpected issues that lowered my opinion on this Fingerprint lock though.

Fingerprint Padlock inside it's packaging
The English mistake on the packaging made me expect far lower quality!

For what it’s worth it feels sturdy. Others who’ve reviewed it have mentioned how it can be broken with pliers and that the back is held on by double sided-tape, but I wasn’t able to pry that open (with my fingers anyway). It’s probably better recommended for home use against other family members.

I was impressed that it didn’t misread any fingerprints or let my partner open it, until I added his fingerprint that is. I like the ability to add up to 20 fingerprints and found the instructions clear and easy.

My biggest issue was the questions I was left with. The guide wasn’t clear about everything. For example, the battery life is supposedly 12 months (depending on usage I presume), but what if the battery runs out while it’s locked. Will it unlock. Do you need to charge it to open? Both would cause issues and it’s something I’d want to know.

Not being able to use it outside is also annoying. The Fingerprint Padlock is designed for indoor use.

It does have an app, but I wasn’t comfortable installing a 3rd party app on my phone at this time. I didn’t feel a need to use it and found the manual controls were perfect for me. I don't see a need to install the app, but it's there if you do.

The padlock and fingerprint reader both feel heavy and sturdy. As I mentioned above, I wasn’t able to pry the back off, but it is disappointing to hear from other reviews that it’s held on by tape. I worry about how it will hold up over time. I’ll update if anything breaks or goes wrong, of course.

It doesn’t feel low quality, but it also doesn’t feel high quality. I’d put it somewhere on the higher end of low quality.

Currently, this fingerprint lock is $28.99. I feel that price is a bit high, given the unanswered questions and lower quality. I’d be happy to pay $20 for it, just to try out the technology and use it indoors. At this price, I want a bit more quality and that outdoor ability as well.

Keyless Fingerprint Lock with it's manual
The Fingerprint Lock Manual is understandable despite the English error on the box

The Fingerprint lock is undoubtedly a cool piece of technology that takes the stress out of finding a key every time. However, the lack of real security means this is more of a deterrent (like many cheaper locks). It could be great for you, depending on the situation you want to use it for, but it could definitely use a little more polish and guidance as well.

Pros:

+ Fingerprint is fast and easy to use, no more lost keys.

+ Ability to add multiple fingerprints.

+ Responds and opens well to approved fingerprints and doesn’t open for others.

+ Feels sturdy and weighty.

+ Long battery life.

+ Easy to use manual controls.

Cons:

- A bit expensive.

- Quality is not high.

- Other reviewers have broken it easily, due to tape holding on the back (I didn’t have that issue).

- Doesn’t explain what will happen if the battery expires while lock is locked on something.

Recommended: If you’re planning to use it for indoor light use on something that’s not overly precious, yes. For example, it would be good for locking lunchboxes at work, keeping flatmates out of your room etc.

"It will help your kid overcome its fear of the dark and spark creativity if used as bedroom decoration."

-- Manufacturer's Description --

KFISI Moon Lamp floats above it's platform. Visible ridges dot the surface of the lamp
The Moon lamp has noticeable ridges as it's 3D printed

To see the unboxing, check out the review of the other KFISI magnetic lamp I tried.

The KFISI Magnetic Levitation Moon Lamp looks like it would be stunning and while it had the same coolness factor as the other KFISI lamp I tried, it had too many really disappointing parts. In the end, quality and functionality really let this moon light down.

One of the biggest flaws this lamp has it it’s functionality. This Levitating Moon Lamp is a nightmare to levitate! While I was able to get it to levitate in less than ten tries the first time, later times I tried upwards of 40 times without success. I think most people who bought it wouldn’t try that hard and would simply send it back. The rounded bottom makes it near impossible to balance it. If you do manage to balance it, touching it to try and make it rotate, or sometimes even pressing the power switch, is enough to make it come crashing down!

I also really struggled to get the lamp to do any of its ‘alternate’ modes. I tried tapping, pressing and holding the power button, to no avail. The included instruction manual has imperfect English that doesn’t make it clear how to dim or change the light and as a result, I was unable to do that. Frequently the light would go out for no reason.

It’s not a particularly effective light either. The KFISI magnetic moon lamp is more of a show piece and would only really work as a nightlight. Since it’s not suitable for kids, that means it’s not a functional light piece.

The quality of the moon lamp is abysmal. Like...I was shocked. Comparing it to the sale listing, the photoshopped moon pictures are not in anyway what you’ll receive. First of all, the moon lamp is quite small. The levitation height is also much lower than the other KFISI lamp. More importantly, it’s 3D printed and has visible ridges, frankly looking quite ugly in the light.

When lit, in the dark, the lamp does look much better, but it’s still not anything close to what is advertised. In the darkness you can see the ridges and shadows of the moon, but they don’t have a high contrast. There is also a very visible line around the moon where the panel has been taken off (presumably to insert the magnets) and then re-attached.

The light falls when unplugged, so you’ll need to re-levitate it if you don’t want it plugged in all the time. After a gazillion attempts to levitate it after unplugging, I actually gave up. At this point I noticed the metal plate in the base was lifting up. The quality just isn’t here, especially given the high price point.

At $99.98 (at current time of review) the KFISI Magnetic Levitation Moon Lamp is insanity personified. Paying a premium price for a shoddy product is bad enough - but the fact that the pictures and description on the sale listing mislead you about it’s quality - is especially bitter.

I would pay $20 for someone to erase this experience from my memory, but I certainly wouldn’t pay $100 to repeat it.

KFISI Moon Lamp levitates. A line and moon patterns can be seen on the light.
In darker lighting the moon patterns can be seen, but it's not as bold as advertised

The KFISI Magnetic Levitation Moon Lamp has terrible quality, awful functionality and a questionable marketing strategy. While it looks cool in the dark when you’re able to get it to work, those times are few and far between.

Pros:

+ Cool idea.

Cons:

- Near Impossible to levitate. Seems to happen at random with no rhyme or reason.

- Bad quality. Metal plate starting to separate after a handful of uses. Light goes on and off for no reason.

- Poor functionality. Not very bright, only looks good in the dark.

- Advertising is misleading and not accurate to what you receive.

- Couldn’t figure out the other lighting modes. Made worse by poor english in instructions.

Recommended: NO, step away from the light. STEP AWAY FROM THE LIGHT! Do yourself a favour and just don’t buy it.
